The Strutmasters 199 race
The Strutmasters 199 race is a 199-lap NASCAR race that is part of the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour. It was held on August 1, 2015 at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC. Other races at the track that night were the 40-lap Sportsman Race and Street Stock Division Racing. For the second year in a row, Danny Bohn was the victor in the Strutmasters.com 199 for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour on August 1. This was the second Modified race. For the fifth time this season, Jason Myers (left) smiles in Winner’s Circle- this time for winning the first NASCAR Modified Division race on July 31 with the fastest qualifying lap at 13.381 (67.26 MPH)! Matt Lofton (right) hands Jason Myers a hefty check for $1,000.00! Matt Lofton, the son of owner Chip Lofton, is the Vice President of Strutmasters. Matt monitors all of the day-to-day operations on-site and develops new ideas and business models for the company to ensure a strong future for the business, its employees, and the automotive suspension industry.
