"How Do I Know If My Air Suspension Is Failing?"

Well, the main and most common symptoms of a leaking or failed air suspension a sagging rear end. Other major clues are that your air compressor isn't working or is running way too often. Another pretty common tip off of a problem air suspension is your Navigator's inability to reach or maintain recommended height.

One of our customer's vehicles:

Not Good!  See how low this vehicle is riding?

Failure to repair your Lincoln Navigator suspension system can also lead to some major safety issues, such as an air spring blowing while doing 75MPH could send the car into a spin. Really, really not good.

A faulty air suspension can cause loss of work, car rental, towing bills, excessive repair costs (especially by big car dealerships) and in general can be very frustrating and inconvenient to say the least. Bottom line:  it can cost you big bucks.

"Why Did My Navigator Air Suspension Fail?..."

The Lincoln Navigator air suspension systems are subject to a lot of troubles, but it's greatest enemy is time. The air spring is made with rubber parts that dry-rot in 5 to 7 years. The Navigator air suspension's longevity is determined by how much extreme heat and cold your Navigator is subjected. These weather conditions will quickly degrade the parts of an air suspension system. A lot of times the electronic devices begin to fail with age, which just intensifies the problems related to the Lincoln Navigator air suspension.

Notice the cracks in the air bag?

As time goes by, the Navigator suspension is subject to extreme wear and the sagging poor shocks and spring quality will make it difficult to properly align. This causes excessive wear to the all four tires and eventually ruins the great ride you deserve as a Lincoln Navigator owner. So not only do you have a lousy ride, but now you get the pleasure of having to buy tires more frequently.

This will really make you ride low...

"What The Dealer Won't Tell You..."

With the insider information I know today, I can assure you that the OEM parts will always fail and are just another way for car dealers to "line their pockets" at your expense.

"Dealerships Have Used This Dirty Little Trick For Years..."

The dealerships and parts dealers want you to buy replacement parts because they know that your other air suspension and electronic parts are bound to fail in the very near future, forcing you to continue to buy more and more air suspension replacement parts over time. They make a killing as you grow more and more frustrated!

The stark reality is that luxury car & SUV owners like you, have been left in the dark. These replacement parts are expensive and in most cases it will be necessary for you to pay a dealership a bundle of cash to install them. Increasing even more the cost to get your ride fixed. Many times, you will also have to rent a car because the dealership will take days to get your air suspension working properly.

The worst part about this whole situation is that you don't have a car, the dealership takes forever to fix your ride and then the dealership will use that against you and magically find lots of other parts that “have” to be fixed. You know because it's happened to you before or to someone you know.

Don't fall for their trap...it's not pretty once they have you. They will be laughing all the way to the bank. Please, don't let these guys take your hard earned money. You have another option, and Strutmasters had done all the hard work for you.

I'm so happy with Strutmasters!!!!!!! January 10, 2012
Reviewer: Jawara Freeman from Norfolk, VA United States
I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but sometimes they your keep lies to themselves. The first review that talks about the ride is not great and these struts are not worth it is a complete lie. I just installed my struts on my 04 Lincoln Nav and I swear it is the best thing I have done to my SUV. The ride feels just like the air ride suspension and I put that on my life. I am so impressed with how my truck rides, it feels like I just bought the truck off the showroom floor. Was not hard at all, all you need are the right tools and a little muscle and you will have no problem getting it done. I would say if you can change oil you can change your struts, Strutmasters you truly are masters of strut and I salute you!!!!!

Not worth the harsh ride November 7, 2011
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from buford, GA United States
I purchased the 4 wheel air suspension conversion to coil kit.  First off, it's a much bumpier and louder ride.  I could feel every single small bump, even the lines that make up the lanes.  All these people who wrote it rides the same or it rides just like their air suspension did are crazy.  My expedition on springs rides much smoother and handles better than these kits on my Navigator.  I'm going to sell this kit and buy air suspension again.  It's a good cheap option, but if you can afford it replace with air suspension.  I had mine professionally installed at Lincoln/Ford dealership.  All other components in great working condition on my vehicle.

2005 Navigator August 22, 2011
Reviewer: Matt Sample from Uniontown, OH United States
Did the install in one easy day by myself in my garage. No air tools, only tool I had to go get was a large metric socket (30mm) I think. Way easier then the install I did on my Mark VIII!! And the ride seems about the same, just got back from a 1200 mile trip and it road fine, even through the WV turnpike at 75 mph.  I'm currently looking for another Nav with air ride issues to buy cheap and do an install on. Love this car.

2004 Navigator January 11, 2011
Reviewer: Ty Browning from Denver, CO United States
Just had my air suspension replaced with the "2003-2006 Lincoln Navigator 4-Wheel Air Suspension Conversion Kit (2WD & 4WD)" I am so relieved, the ride is great, and the quality of the struts were great (according to my mechanic and from what I saw)! Delivery took about a week and the tech service,  and Dustin & Vito were more that helpful!
Living in the Denver area, every time the temp would drop below 20 degrees so would the front end ... when it did it while I was on the interstate at 65 mph it got my attention ... started to get the "bring it back in if it does it again" story from the dealership ... what a pain --- Thanks Dustin, I am very happy with my new "ride"  :0)
