The Ford Expedition air-ride suspension provides a far better ride then you would expect, probably due to its shared background with the Lincoln Navigator. From the factory, the Ford Expedition suspension came as a passive suspension, with the air-ride suspension offered as an option. However, once you chose one suspension system or the other, you could not interchange the parts. Also, the suspension system is different when you go from two wheel drive vehicles to four wheel drive vehicles.
