Why Choose Strutmasters?
Why choose the Conversion Kit over replacing the air suspension system on your 1985-1990 Cadillac Deville?
Strutmasters' air to non-air suspension conversion kit saves Cadillac Deville owners time, frustration, and money when the air suspension system goes bad. The kit, made in America, comes complete with two pre-assembled coilover struts that can be installed with just two bolts each. The kit eliminates the Deville's dependency on faulty air parts for good. The quality struts are guaranteed by Strutmasters' Lifetime Limited Warranty. Customers appreciate the detailed instructions and online installation videos that come with each kit purchase. If further assistance is needed, Strutmasters' ASE certified experts offer technical support over the phone. Lastly, the price of the kit is just a fraction of the costs of dealership direct replacement and individual part replacement. It's no wonder why the majority of Cadillac Deville owners switch from air to non-air suspension using this coilover conversion kit.
Is Your Suspension Failing?
How do I know if my 1985-1990 Cadillac Deville Air Suspension is failing?
Look for the following common signs that the air suspension system on the 1985-1990 Cadillac Deville is leaking or going bad. Early detection of a failed suspension system is the key to avoiding vehicle total failure. Any inability of the Deville to reach and maintain its proper ride height is a major red flag. Look for sudden height variances between different sides of the vehicle. There may be one sagging end and one inflated end. The Deville might have a squatting down appearance. If the Deville's dampening effects have changed, making the ride bouncy or spring-like, then suspension failure is likely to blame. Other vehicle components will wear out, too. The air compressor, for example, may have stopped working already. If suspension failure is advanced, a suspension warning light will be illuminated on the dashboard.
What kind of suspension does my 1985-1990 Cadillac Deville have?
1985-1990 Cadillac Deville Electronic Struts (x2)- a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. The Buick Electra’s struts use an electronic signal to stiffen or soften the dampening of the strut.
1985-1990 Cadillac Deville Height Sensors (x2) - a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The ride height sensor is a moving part, and like all moving parts, they will eventually wear out.
1985-1990 Cadillac Deville Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the electronic suspension system and maintaining the vehicle’s correct ride height.
