Is Your Suspension Failing? Ready to Order
How do I know if my 1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty Air Suspension is failing? There are common signs of a failed or leaking air suspension in your 1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty that you need to be aware of. The most obvious is a sudden noticeable height difference between different sides of the Dynasty. This might be a sagging rear or front, it may be an inflated side, there could be leaning from left to right, or maybe the entire vehicle looks to be squatting too low to the ground. All of these likely mean a bad suspension. Inside the Dynasty, check your instrument cluster. Is there an illuminated suspension warning light or message? That is an obvious sign, but we had to mention it! Also, check other major components that could wear out if you have suspension total failure. The air compressor is a big one- is it still working? Is it running too often (will be very noisy)? It’s more than likely, in any of these scenarios, that you will need a suspension repair or replacement. If you have suspension failure, your Dynasty won’t be able to consistently maintain its proper ride height. This renders it unsafe and unfit to put on the road. You will want to get the problems fixed as soon as possible. Continue reading to learn more about our unique solution.

What kind of suspension does my 1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty have?
1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty Air/Electronic/Magnetic Shock Absorbers (x2)- shocks that contain an air bladder or magnets whose dampening capabilities are controlled by the suspension control module.
1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty Air Struts (x2)- struts that contain an air bladder whose dampening capabilities is controlled by the suspension control module; these have two functions. They connect the wheel of a vehicle to the driving surface in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. They also help maintain the vehicles correct ride height, especially whenever the amount of load put onto the vehicle changes.
1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty Air Springs (x2)- commonly referred to as air bags, a plastic and rubber bag that is fitted on top of the strut that uses pressurized air as a cushion instead of a metal coil spring to hold a vehicle off of the ground and off of its wheels. These are the number one cause of all air suspension leaks. All air springs all go bad at about the same rate. If one is leaking, the others will not be far behind. For a proper repair, all of them need to be replaced at the same time.
1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty Height Sensors (x2)- a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The ride height sensor is a moving part, and like all moving parts, they will eventually wear out.
1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty Air Lines- tubes that run from a compressor (air suspension) to the air struts which carry pressurized air to the air bags components in order to adjust the height of the vehicle, respectively.
1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty Compressor- creates/sends pressurized to active suspension components. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor/pump starts working harder to try to keep the system inflated. By the time air suspension leaks down completely, sitting the vehicle on its tires, the compressor will either have failed or be well on its way to full failure. Buying replacement struts and taking the time to install them only to find out the compressor still needs to be replaced can be very frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive.
1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty Dryer Assembly- used to keep moisture out of air lines and air springs in order to prevent freezing and internal cracking of these parts. Once air suspension starts leaking, moisture will build-up throughout the air system. Moisture damages the air suspension from the inside. The dryer will need to be replaced in order to eliminate the moisture and prevent any further damage.
1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the air suspension system and maintaining the vehicle’s correct ride height.
1989-1993 Dodge Dynasty O-rings- Although they are the least expensive parts of the air suspension, they are responsible for maintaining the seal where all of the air lines connect. Be sure to replace the O-rings when repairing any air suspension system.
