Suspension Kits Reviews

I used the conversion kit for my Ford 2003 Expedition, and it was easy and only took me and a buddy about 2.5 hours to do all four wheels. The ride is as good as the air suspension, and i dont have to worry about any more broken bags. the cost of doing all four wheels is less than doing 2 of the air bags, and I had already replced the compressor once. The height of the vehicle is approx1-2 inches higher than the air suspension, but i like the higher look. Thanks strutmaster- well worth the money.

Thank you for having these replacement parts. I wish I had known about these a year ago, before I spent $1600 on new air bags and a compressor just on the front. I am not mechanically inclined but found these struts easy to install. Thank you again.

I purchased the XN44-F3; XN44-R3 kit to replace my air suspension. Installation took me 3-1/2 hrs. I am pretty tooled up so had everything I needed. Instructions said spring compressors not required, I recommend them. Make sure you know how to disconnect ball joints. The new springs sagged and I will look for spacers to raise the vehicle back up to a more acceptable height. The ride is the same as stock. One break in problem I had was turning while hitting a bump I would get a loud squelch noise. I think it was from the paint on the spring contact points. It no longer makes the noise once everything broke in. There is no “Home” solution to turn off the Air Bag warning system. You have to take your vehicle to Ford and have them reset your computer. Note: before you start the swap, remove the rear axel sensors so you don’t ruin them. Overall, I am very happy with this kit and knowing that I do not have to worry about the air suspension going flat randomly.

We just received our shipment. Thanks! My husband and I are retired. We were looking at a $1300 repair bill for our car at a dealership. Thanks to the parts from you and a mechanic that is willing to install them, we are going to get it fixed Tuesday for less than $500.00! Yeah! The help that Dustin gave me over the phone plus the professional shipment and followup from your company, has made this a very good experience for us. Thanks again and I have already recommended your company to our friends.

Our delivery was right on time. it took me about 45min to install the kit on our expedition. The difference it made was amazing. It was like going from driving a school bus to driving a sports car. again thank you very much.

This is William, I’ve got a 1999 Lincoln Navigator. I ordered your product a couple weeks ago. Very simple to install the change over and was a success and the ride was better than before. Not many ways you guys can improve, you are doing everything the right way I just recommend to keep up the good work. I like the follow up emails, constant contact with customers, and your customer service. I even called in early one Sunday morning, had a very helpful gentlemen there answer all my questions, and got me back on the road. Everything was a very positive experience with Strutmasters and I highly recommend to anybody with bags on their car.

I purchased the kit and with the help of a buddy we were able to jack and secure the vehicle; remove all the old necessary items; install the shocks and springs on the rear in about 2.5 hours. The only “problem” we encountered was on the left rear (drivers side) upper shock bolt was a bit difficult to access for removal and re-installation, which added an additional 30 minutes time total to the total job. Over all it was not too bad to do yourself. It took another 45 minutes for the 2 front shocks, including jacking and securing and removing and installation of the two new (standard shocks). Over all it was not that bad to do.

“Just wanted to let you know car is riding great. Wanted to let you know I had a company here named, Lincoln Land, put them on for me. The head mechanic stated he was impressed with the Quality and Workmanship of your product. He had never used your products before, that says something to me. And let me tell you that is one busy place for Lincolns. Thanks again, you saved me close to $3,000 dollars.

“I purchased the 4 Wheel conversion kit on 10/21/09 and had it installed on 10/27/09. I am extremely happy so far with the ease of installation and the performance. Although it doesn’t ride as well as it did in ’95 when I purchased it new it rides well enough. This is a whole lot better mentally than having to worry just what would go out next with the air suspension. Again I thank you for the quick shipment and the quality of your product.

“Another Strutmasters success story. My 92 Lincoln Towncar is back on the road and rides great.

Had some problems with the air suspension, took it to a local dealership and as in most cases, got the run around. They told me I needed a front air bag sensor and that was just the start. Pricing there was just about $500 just to replace the sensor. I had enough familiarity with the suspension that I knew it would continue to have some problems. I heard about these conversion kits, I went online, found strutmasters, found a very easy to navigate website (appreciated that) and called your customer service hotline. A person answered right away and talked for a few minutes, and again convinced me , not that I needed convincing, but did convince me that the conversion was relatively easy to do it, even though I didn’t do it, I hired somebody to put it on. Unfortunately, I tried to go local to get the conversion kit, I went to NAPA, they dropped the ball and ended up getting the wrong parts, I returned them, went back to strutmasters, I had the right parts within 2 days. Overall, I am very very pleased with the way strutmasters is haneled, the information I needed as well as giving me the product, I highly recommend the company, thank you.

The installation was very well described and illustrared. It took most of the day to do all 4 wheels, but the results were well worth the effort. The ride is better than ever.

My husband is unemployed and broke, he was a very happy man when he finish the job. Save us thousand of dollars and he is now worry free from air air suspension going bad. Thank you strutmaster

“I replaced my rear Air springs with Strutmaster regular springs last weekend. The entire job took about 3 hours and most of that time was getting my Expedition lifted high enough work on it. The jacks that I have, lifted the Expedition high enough to to change the tire but not high enough to pull the axle down to provide room to install the new spring (For safety, I did use jack stands once the vehicle was lifted). Once that was solved the replacement went smoothly.

All in all I’m very happy with the springs and I’m glad to be rid of my problematic rear air suspension. If and when the front suspension goes, I will definitely replace it with you standard spring/shock front suspension kit.

Andrew Hassara”
