Why Choose Strutmasters?
Why choose the Conversion Kit over replacing the air suspension system on your 1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado?
This kit for the 1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado comes with two preloaded front struts that install just as easily as a direct replacement from the dealer. The difference between our struts and direct replacement electronic coilover front struts from the dealership is that ours are passive coilover struts, which means you won’t have to worry about your front suspension failing due to a shortage in your electronic suspension system. The difference between our struts and other conversion kit struts are that we are the only ones whose springs are made by the world-renowned suspension manufacturer, Eibach®. Also, our CADF2 kit comes with resistors that maintain the electrical signal, ensuring our struts won’t cause any “Check Suspension” error messages. Our conversion kits are backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty, and Strutmasters provides excellent tech support to help you every step of the way!
Is Your Suspension Failing?
How do I know if my 1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado Air Suspension is failing?
If you have ever noticed ride height issues like maybe you have noticed your front tires rubbing the fender, or even hidden underneath the fender, then you could be looking at failed coil springs on your front struts. The coil springs are made of steel, but after years of holding up something as heavy as a Northstar engine, they can eventually lose their composure and start to become coil bound, which is when the space in between each coil begins to lessen more and more until the coils actually touch one another. When this happens, the only fix is to replace either the coil springs, which is time-consuming labor-wise, or swap out the struts for new struts.
What kind of suspension does my 1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado have?
The 1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado is built with the following suspension components:
1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado Shock Absorbers (x2)- a metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle.
1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado Coil Springs (x2)- Coil springs hold the vehicle up but be careful, they are rated for and designed to work with the rest of the suspension system, so when you change air shocks to passive shocks, then you will need a different rated coil spring that works well with the new type of shocks.
1993-1996 Cadillac Eldorado Height Sensors (x2)- a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly.
