Strutmasters Conversion Kits Save Money, Time and Headaches

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe 4 Wheel Air Suspension Conversion Kit (GC14F) is the perfect solution to your air suspension problems. Designed to be very affordable, you can convert your air suspension to use standard.

Our Conversion Kits are built to improve the performance and stability of your ride. Converting to a non-air suspension system gives you a more reliable ride.

Our kits don't require any major modifications to your vehicle to install.

Only Strutmasters offers Premium Eibach Springs on our conversion kits. Notice the difference with a better, smoother ride!

All of our kits come with easy to install instructions so you or your mechanic can get your car up and running faster than ever.

Why Choose Strutmasters Instead Of Those Other Guys

Simply put, our suspension conversion kit was built to save time, frustration, and money, without sacrificing ride quality. As The Suspension Experts, we understand the air and electronic suspension system on the Chevrolet Tahoe and how quickly it can become a major expense. That's why we invented the first fully assembled suspension conversion kit in 1999. If only one part of your air system doesn't function in sync, the entire suspension stops working properly. Our kit is an affordable direct replacement alternative, with no modifications needed to install. This kit includes two passive rear shocks, two rear Eibach springs and two passive front shocks. The kit is installed easily, in about one hour per wheel, thanks to the detailed installation instruction manual, installation videos, and our technical support team. The cost difference between choosing Original Equipment parts and our suspension conversion kits is why many of our customers make the switch. You have three options when your Tahoe has a failed suspension: repairing the active suspension system with Original Equipment parts at a GM dealer; installing aftermarket replacement parts on the Tahoe piece by piece; or getting rid of the headache for good by installing a Strutmasters suspension conversion kit.

How Do I know If My Tahoe Air Suspension is failing?

Hearing noises coming from your front suspension? You are not alone. The most common problem Tahoe owners experience is worn out sway bars and failed bushings. Most people don’t realize that these suspension components should be inspected for wear every 60k miles and are often the causes of noises and degraded handling. You may also be noticing your 2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe is unable to maintain its proper ride height and maybe sags in the rear. This is an indication that your air suspension system is either leaking or your compressor is going bad. Either way, you’ll want to get your vehicle looked at and any bad components replaced before you have total suspension failure. Often the case with air suspensions is that once one component goes bad others follow leading to multiple, expensive trips to the dealer. A bad suspension creates dangerous driving conditions for you and your family so it should not be taken lightly.

Suspension Components List

The 2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe is built with the following suspension components:

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Air/Magnetic Shocks (x4)- shocks that contain an air bladder or magnets whose dampening capabilities is controlled by the suspension control module.

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Coil Springs (x4)- Steel coil springs support the weight of the vehicle, but be careful! The factory coil springs are rated for and designed to work with the air and electronic shocks. When you convert to passive shocks, you will need a different rated coil spring that works well with the new type of shocks.

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Torsion Bar- Adjustable horizontal bar on the front of the vehicle that holds the vehicle off the groundtorsion bar.

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Air Lines- tubes that run from a compressor (air suspension) to the air struts which carry pressurized air to the air bags components in order to adjust the height of the vehicle, respectively.

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Solenoids (x4)- usually L-shaped, these plastic components connect the electrical connection and lines of suspension components to the suspension control module on vehicles with active suspension. The solenoid regulates the air pressure for each air spring. Solenoids start to leak as they wear out causing the vehicle to sag or to lean. This will cause the ride height sensor to send a signal to activate the compressor in an attempt to inflate the air suspension and level out the vehicle. This excessive work load will eventually lead to total failure of the compressor.

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Compressor- creates/sends pressurized to active suspension components. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor/pump starts working harder to try to keep the system inflated. By the time air suspension leaks down completely, sitting the vehicle on its tires, the compressor will either have failed or be well on its way to full failure. Buying replacement struts and taking the time to install them only to find out the compressor still needs to be replaced can be very frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive.

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Dryer Assembly- used to keep moisture out of air lines and air springs in order to prevent freezing and internal cracking of these parts. Once air suspension starts leaking, moisture will build-up throughout the air system. Moisture damages the air suspension from the inside. The dryer will need to be replaced in order to eliminate the moisture and prevent any further damage.

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the air suspension system and maintaining the vehicle’s correct ride height.

2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe O-rings- Although they are the least expensive parts of the air suspension, they are responsible for maintaining the seal where all of the air lines connect. Be sure to replace the O-rings when repairing any air suspension system.
