long-icon-xIs Your Suspension Failing? Ready to Order

How do I know if my 2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Air Suspension is failing?

Check out the ride height on your vehicle. Take note of any sudden differences in height, or changes in appearance. Sagging is commonly seen, as is one inflated portion of the vehicle. Your suspension may be bad or leaking if the suspension warning light is illuminated on the instrument panel. Also, check out your air compressor. Has it ceased working or is it very loud (overworked)? These symptoms also point to a failed suspension. You will want to get this fixed ASAP before total failure of your other vehicle components.

What kind of suspension does my 2003-2012 Range Rover L322 have?

The 2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Chassis is built with the following suspension components:

2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Chassis Air Struts (x4)- struts that contain an air bladder whose dampening capabilities is controlled by the suspension control module; these have two functions. They connect the wheel of a vehicle to the driving surface in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. They also help maintain the vehicles correct ride height, especially whenever the amount of load put onto the vehicle changes.

2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Chassis Height Sensors (x4)- a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The ride height sensor is a moving part, and like all moving parts, they will eventually wear out.

2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Chassis Torsion Bar- Adjustable horizontal bar on the front of the vehicle that holds the vehicle off the ground.

2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Chassis Air Lines- tubes that run from a compressor (air suspension) to the air struts which carry pressurized air to the air bags components in order to adjust the height of the vehicle, respectively.

2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Chassis Compressor- creates/sends pressurized to active suspension components. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor/pump starts working harder to try to keep the system inflated. By the time air suspension leaks down completely, sitting the vehicle on its tires, the compressor will either have failed or be well on its way to full failure. Buying replacement struts and taking the time to install them only to find out the compressor still needs to be replaced can be very frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive.

2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Chassis Dryer Assembly- used to keep moisture out of air lines and air springs in order to prevent freezing and internal cracking of these parts. Once air suspension starts leaking, moisture will build-up throughout the air system. Moisture damages the air suspension from the inside. The dryer will need to be replaced in order to eliminate the moisture and prevent any further damage.

2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Chassis Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the air suspension system and maintaining the vehicle’s correct ride height.

2003-2012 Range Rover L322 Chassis O-rings- Although they are the least expensive parts of the air suspension, they are responsible for maintaining the seal where all of the air lines connect. Be sure to replace the O-rings when repairing any air suspension system.

My truck looks great and rides just as good without the Air suspension! Thanks to Strutmasters, I have my swag back!! Very good product and easy to assemble. It took my mechanic 2 hours to put the new springs on. Who needs air suspension anyway???? I live in Dallas, not in Afghanistan.

good product looks good pretty easy install the only problem is that the directions are not clear to say the least step by step on the web with coulor pictures would help and you really need to know that you have to cut the band off the bag and seperate it and use pieces from the bag and that would eliminate alot of confusion as to thinking that all the parts were not supplied but now that they are in im overall happy with the ride and the looks now if you can get me longer struts and a lift kit it would be great thanks
