Replaced Components
The 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade is built with the following suspension components: 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Air/Electronic/Magnetic Shocks (x2)- shocks that contain an air bladder or magnets whose dampening capabilities is controlled by the suspension control module. 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Coil Springs (x2/x4)- what we love! Coil springs hold the vehicle up but be careful, they are rated for and designed to work with the rest of the suspension system, so when you change air shocks to passive shocks, then you will need a different rated coil spring that works well with the new type of shocks other 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Torsion Bar- on some 4x4 models. Adjustable horizontal bar on the front of the vehicle that holds the vehicle off the ground 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Struts (x2)- on some 4x4 models. A type of shock absorber, it is a piece of metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle.; 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Shock Absorbers (x4)- a metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Height Sensors (x4)- a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The ride height sensor is a moving part, and like all moving parts, they will eventually wear out. 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Air Lines- tubes that run from a compressor to the air which carry pressurized air to the air bags in order to adjust the height of the vehicle, respectively. 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Compressor Assembly- creates/sends pressurized to active suspension components. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor/pump starts working harder to try to keep the system inflated. By the time air suspension leaks down completely, sitting the vehicle on its tires, the compressor will either have failed or be well on its way to full failure. Buying replacement struts and taking the time to install them only to find out the compressor still needs to be replaced can be very frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive. 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Dryer- prevents moisture build-up inside of air suspension parts. 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the air suspension system and maintaining the vehicles correct ride height. 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade O-rings- Although they are the least expensive parts of the air suspension, they are responsible for maintaining the seal where all of the air lines connect. Be sure to replace the O-rings when repairing any air suspension system.

Suspension Failure Signs
If the Cadillac Escalade is unable to reach and maintain its proper ride height then a leaking or failed air suspension system may be to blame. Look for these common signs that indicate the suspension system is going bad, before total failure is reached. The most noticeable is a sudden uneven ride height between different sides of the Escalade. The front end may remain inflated while the rear end sags. The air compressor may wear out if a bad suspension system is left unchecked. Listen to the compressor- has it stopped working? Is it running too often? It may need replacement. If a failed suspension is advanced, an illuminated suspension warning light can be seen on the instrument cluster. The Escalade owner should get any of these issues fixed promptly.

OEM Replacement Cost
'+ Rear Shocks ($340/shock) + Rear Coil Spring ($50/spring) + Air Compressor Assembly ($340) = TOTAL: Over $1,100 (and that still doesnt include replacing electronic components that are known to fail such as the height sensors).

Aftermarket Replacement Cost
'+ Rear Shocks ($230/shock) + Rear Coil Spring ($56/spring + Air Compressor Assembly ($200) = TOTAL: Over $770 (and that still doesn't include replacing electronic components that are known to fail such as the height sensors).
The air suspension system on the 02-06 Cadillac Escalade is made of assorted parts that must always work in unison. Strutmasters' air to non-air suspension conversion kit eliminates this dependency. Made in America, the kit includes two cold-wound steel coil springs and two shocks for the rear end of the Escalade. The kit is a direct replacement option, so no modifications are needed before it is installed. Detailed installation instructions and online installation videos ensure a smooth repair. Designed to save our customers time and frustration, the kit fits the bill. Our ASE certified technicians are also on hand to answer any questions you may have. The low price of the kit makes it a clear winner. Review the following prices before making an informed decision: that of direct replacement of the air suspension system at the Cadillac dealership, that of installing aftermarket air parts individually, and that of installing a Strutmasters suspension conversion kit.
