Why Choose Strutmasters Instead Of Those Other Guys

The original air suspension system on the 2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 is made up of various parts that must always function in sync. When one part is broken, the system is defunct. Strutmasters' air to non-air suspension conversion kit eliminates this expensive and inconvenient dependency. The kit, manufactured in America, includes two rear shocks and two front shocks. The kit was designed to fit the Avalanche specifically and is installed in as little as one hour per wheel. The quality shocks are backed by Strutmasters' Lifetime Limited Warranty. Customers appreciate Strutmasters' top-notch service- our ASE certified technicians are available for support, and installation videos are available to view online. Not only does the kit save time and frustration, but it also saves a ton of money. Compared with direct replacement at the dealership and individual aftermarket air parts, this air to non-air suspension conversion kit costs considerably less money. Read the customer reviews to see firsthand why the majority of Avalanche owners purchase this kit when their air suspension system fails.

How Do I know If My Avalanche 2500 Air Suspension is failing?

If the 2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 displays any of these classic signs of a failed or leaking air suspension system, it should be fixed promptly. Left unchecked, these imbalances will wear out other vehicle components. If the Avalanche is unable to meet and maintain its proper ride height, it's likely the suspension is going bad. An uneven height difference between different sides of the Avalanche is a red flag. A sagging rear end is typically seen against an inflated front end. This gives the Avalanche the appearance of squatting down in the rear. A shifting lean from one side to the other is also commonly seen. If the suspension failure is more advanced, the air compressor will stop working. At this point, a suspension warning light will illuminate on the dashboard. The Avalanche is unsafe to drive if the suspension is completely gone, so a direct replacement or repair is absolutely necessary.

Suspension Components List

The 2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 is built with the following suspension components:

2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 Air/Electronic/Magnetic Shocks (x2)- shocks that contain an air bladder or magnets whose dampening capabilities is controlled by the suspension control module.

2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 Coil Springs (x4)- Coil springs hold the vehicle up but be careful, they are rated for and designed to work with the rest of the suspension system, so when you change air shocks to passive shocks, then you will need a different rated coil spring that works well with the new type of shocks.

2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 Shock Absorbers (x2)- a metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. Shock Absorber.

2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 Height Sensors (x2)- a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The ride height sensor is a moving part, and like all moving parts, they will eventually wear out.

2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 Compressor- creates/sends pressurized to active suspension components. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor/pump starts working harder to try to keep the system inflated. By the time air suspension leaks down completely, sitting the vehicle on its tires, the compressor will either have failed or be well on its way to full failure. Buying replacement struts and taking the time to install them only to find out the compressor still needs to be replaced can be very frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive.

2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 Dryer Assembly- used to keep moisture out of air lines and air springs in order to prevent freezing and internal cracking of these parts. Once air suspension starts leaking, moisture will build-up throughout the air system. Moisture damages the air suspension from the inside. The dryer will need to be replaced in order to eliminate the moisture and prevent any further damage.

2000-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the air suspension system and maintaining the vehicle’s correct ride height.
