Why Choose Strutmasters Instead Of Those Other Guys
Your 2007-2013 Full Size GM SUV, the Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, and Yukon, air suspension system is made up of assorted air and electronic parts that must each work in sync or the entire system stops working properly. This can be expensive to repair and replacement at the dealer is even more costly. At Strutmasters, we understand the position you're in because we were once there ourselves, stranded by a failed air suspension and facing a ridiculous repair bill. In 1999, there was no alternative but to replace the factory air parts, so we invented our own solution. Our suspension conversion kit offers an affordable direct replacement alternative to your air and electronic suspension without sacrificing ride quality. Our kit, for your SUV, includes our custom designed suspension warning light elimination module, two premium Eibach coil springs and shocks for the rear, and two pre-assembled front coilover struts with Eibach springs. We are the only company that offers Eibach's superior cold wound springs which doesn't compromise the steel, giving you a more durable spring that won't compress over time. You can easily install the kit yourself in about one hour per wheel with the help of our detailed installation instructions and videos and ASE certified technical support. Stop going to the dealership and throwing your money away on repairing your air suspension! Convert your suspension to our passive coil spring suspension and keep your wallet happy.
How Do I know If My 07-12 Escalade (including ESV & EXT), 07-13 Suburban 1500, 07-13 Tahoe, 07-13 Yukon & Yukon XL 1500 Air Suspension is failing?
Have you noticed noises coming from your suspension? The 2007-2013 GM Full Size SUV’s are known for having sway bar and bushing issues, which cause noises in the suspension and poor handling. You might also be noticing a loud hum coming from your compressor or a sagging in the rear especially under load. These are some common signs of a failed suspension along with a suspension warning light on the dash. Problems with the air and electronic suspension system on your SUV can be costly and even a small issue can turn into total suspension failure if left unrepaired. If you’ve noticed any of these signs it’s time to have your Tahoe, Escalade, Yukon or Suburban checked and repaired. Diagnosing a bad suspension component quickly can mean the difference in thousands of dollars to your wallet. Unfortunately, due to the delicate nature of the rubber parts that make up parts of your air system this probably won’t be the last time you make a trip to the dealer for repair.

Suspension Components List
2007-2013 GM SUV Air Shocks (x2)- shocks that contain an air bladder, manipulated by the suspension control module.
2007-2013 GM SUV Coil Springs (x4)- Factory coil springs hold the vehicle up, but be careful! They are rated for and designed to work with the electronic struts and shocks. When you convert air shocks and electronic struts to passive units, you will need a different rated coil spring that works well with the new passive shocks and struts.
2007-2013 GM SUV Electronic Front Struts (x2)- a metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid and tiny metal particles. And electric current sent through the strut controls the dampening rate of the unit. The struts are connected to the wheel of the vehicle and reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle.
2007-2013 GM SUV Air Lines- tubes that run from a compressor (air suspension) to the air struts which carry pressurized air to the air bags components in order to adjust the height of the vehicle, respectively.
2007-2013 GM SUV Solenoids (x4)- usually L-shaped, these plastic components connect the electrical connection and lines of suspension components to the suspension control module on vehicles with active suspension. The solenoid regulates the air pressure for each air spring. Solenoids start to leak as they wear out causing the vehicle to sag or to lean. This will cause the ride height sensor to send a signal to activate the compressor in an attempt to inflate the air suspension and level out the vehicle. This excessive work load will eventually lead to total failure of the compressor.
2007-2013 GM SUV Compressor- creates/sends pressurized to active suspension components. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor/pump starts working harder to try to keep the system inflated. By the time air suspension leaks down completely, sitting the vehicle on its tires, the compressor will either have failed or be well on its way to full failure. Buying replacement struts and taking the time to install them only to find out the compressor still needs to be replaced can be very frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive.
2007-2013 GM SUV Dryer Assembly- used to keep moisture out of air lines and air springs in order to prevent freezing and internal cracking of these parts. Once air suspension starts leaking, moisture will build-up throughout the air system. Moisture damages the air suspension from the inside. The dryer will need to be replaced in order to eliminate the moisture and prevent any further damage.
2007-2013 GM SUV Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the air suspension system and maintaining the vehicle's correct ride height.
2007-2013 GM SUV O-rings- Although they are the least expensive parts of the air suspension, they are responsible for maintaining the seal where all of the air lines connect. Be sure to replace the O-rings when repairing any air suspension system.
