Mercury Grand Marquis Suspension Parts and Air Suspension Conversion Kit Reviews - Strutmasters

I have a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis with 79,000 miles on it. My air suspension light has been on for a year but the suspension still had air and rode well. My car finally dropped low and the compressor was not working. A new compressor is about $140. Once that is fixed, you can keep throwing money at it (air bags, sensor, relays, etc). I wanted to convert it to springs to get rid of the problem overall. I was going to buy a Monroe conversion kit at a parts store but after more research found Strutmasters was the only company that came with Eibach springs and that were made in the US. The kit arrived within 5 days. The installation was not as fast as they claim, but much easier that I expected. From start to finish, including replacing the front shocks, it took 3.5 hours. The hardest part of the entire process was working in the small spaces to unbolt the rear shocks. I was more than satisfied with the entire process, from shipping time to installation. I would highly recommend this company and this product.
Have had great experience with all of the products–great support and customer service!! Highly recommend this company!
2003-2011 Ford Lincoln Mercury Luxury Car Rear Air Suspension Conversion Kit Rear with Shocks (FA3RB) Review Gary
“Great inexpensive alternative for us.”
With advice from Strutmasters I replaced my rear bags with their springs, what a mistake. Bounces like crazy even with new Monroe sensatrac shocks. After the first call to strutmasters for advice they won’t return my messages. They want 20% to restock and told me to put weight in my truck to help the bounce, what a joke! But I guess the joke’s on me and anyone else that does buisness with this company. It’s been several months since I put their springs on my car and they told me that it should be fine after 2 months, of driving, it’s the same without change. I’m dissappointed with this company and the way they’ve handled my concern.

Here are some before/after pictures of the Lincoln that got the conversion shocks from your store. They were not professionally taken, but hope you will note the difference.
1992-2002 Mercury Grand Marquis Premium Rear Air Suspension Conversion Kit With Rear Shocks FA2RB Review
“REPLACED REAR AIR SPRINGS ON 93 GRAND MARQUIES WITH CONVERSION KIT EVERY THING WORKED PERFECT. INSATLLATION WAS A BREEZE.
RIDE HEIGHT WAS PERFECT, A LITTLE STIFF BECAUSE OF NEW SHOCKS. WITH PASSENGERS IN THE BACK SEAT THE PROGRESSIVE TYPE SPRINGS WORKED PERFECT KEEPING THE RIDE HEIGHT CORRECT.”

1992-2002 Mercury Grand Marquis Air Suspension Conversion Kit With 4 Shocks (FA2RF) Review Maurice Alarie
Thanks so much for the air to coil spring suspension conversion package for my 1996 Grand Marquis. This was my father’s last new car that I want to keep as long as possible. The local Ford dealership wanted over $1600.00 for replacement air suspension parts less shocks with no guarantee that more parts would not be needed. The Ford dealership would not even quote a job labor price @ $95 / hr. I had a local garage, Ultimate Auto at 50 Millennium Drive in Quispamsis, New Brunswick (506-849-6396) do the job. ($228.00) They had the Marquis converted in less than two and one half hours. I don’t have before pictures but suffice to say she was the lowest of the low riders with both rear air bags blown. The garage had to get creative to get the car on the hoist because of the collapsed rear suspension. I have attached pictures of the after condition. Feel free to use as you wish. I certainly would endorse the conversion. . Again – thanks for giving an aging car an affordable new suspension -and one by the way that rides better.
Thanks for the good service and prompt delivery of the springs. I viewed the on line videos before starting and they were extremely helpful. I am 70 years old with only moderate mechanical ability and the job was not too difficult. Entire project took a couple of hours to complete and results / ride very satisfactory. Thanks.
