Hummer H2 parts included in this kit:

Getting Started

  1. Read general service precautions
  2. Wear Eye Protection
  3. Support the vehicle
  4. Remove air suspension parts
  5. Install conversion kit

Tools needed for installation:

  • Metric sockets
  • Metric wrenches
  • Floor jack or vehicle lift
  • Level work surface
  • Jack stands
  • Screw Drivers (Phillips and Flat Head)
  • Spring Compressor (If Applicable)
  • Allen Wrenches

Air Spring Removal InstructionsStep 1

  1. Turn off the air suspension switch.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. (Refer to shop manual for lifting instructions).

    3. Allow the rear axle to hang in the full rebound position. IMPORTANT: There is a raised feature on the outer rim of the air spring top plate that denotes the anti rotation peg position.
    4. . Depress the anti-rotation peg in the air spring top plate located in the upper spring seat.
    5. With the anti-rotation peg depressed, rotate the air spring counterclockwise and remove the air spring from the upper spring seat.
    6. Remove the air spring from the vehicle (See Fig 1).
    7. Disconnect the air supply line from the sir spring. (See Fig 2).
    8. Plug the air lines using appropriate sized screw with silicone or epoxy.
    9. Check air lines for leaks; with no leaks present secure airlines to chassis away from exhaust or other moving components.
    10. Remove the air spring support from the axle.
    11. Remove the lower shock bolts.
    12. Remove the stabilizer shaft link retaining nut from the frame.

Rear Coil Spring Installation InstructionsStep 2

  • Install the rear coil springs. The part number should be right-side up
  • Raise the rear axle and install the lower shock absorber bolt and nut. Tighten to 77 ft. lbs.
  • Install the stabilizer shaft link to the frame and install the retaining nut. Tighten to 53 ft. lbs.
  • Remove the rear axle support.
  • Note: Note: The rear springs may settle some during the first couple of weeks of use. You may have to adjust the front height sensors to match the level of your new rear springs. The rear springs can sit a little low if your rear shocks are bad. Test the rear shocks by pushing down on the rear of the car. If the rear bounces then you need to replace the shocks also (Strutmasters carries replacement shocks if this is encountered).
