What kind of suspension does my 2000-2002 Lincoln LS have?The 2000-2002 Lincoln LS is built with the following suspension components:
2000-2002 Lincoln LS Coil-over Struts (x4) - a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. Coil springs are seated over the strut body and control the vehicles height.
How Do I Know If My Suspension Is Failing?The most common symptom of a leaking or failed air suspension is a sudden noticeable uneven height difference between different sides of the vehicle. The vehicle could have a sagging front or rear end, it could lean to the left side or right side, or the entire vehicle could be squatting down lower than normal. Other symptoms could include a suspension warning message or light in the instrument cluster, or the air compressor no longer working or running way too often (which would be very noisy and noticeable). The last major tip is your vehicle is no longer able to reach or maintain the proper ride height.

Thanks to you for your product and staff. I just completed installing the 4 coil-over strut conversions on my 2003 Navigator. Purchase was a breeze with you friendly folks on the other end. Installation was as easy as advertised and the ride is very comfortable. No more worrying about leaky airbags, long-running compressor, etc. Thanks again for developing such a good product and making it easy for a shade-tree guy like me to install.
On a positive note, the product is everything you promised. The X (what we call it) is standing up and rides good. Took about (2) hours to accomplish and I’m satisfied with your product. The light (mentioned above) is just annoying. I would include the website address to watch the video in your instruction manual. Sometimes it’s easier to see it done (at least for me). That’s about all I have for you. I would recommend your product to anyone having a similar problem.
My air ride has gone out twice in the past, and I had enough. Air ride is expensive and inconvenient. My new Strutmaster conversion kit is awesome, and now I know I don’t have to shell out money for constant maintnence. Thanks Strutmasters

As the subject states however I was pleasantly surprised. The truck sits about 2″ higher which I think is normal. I believe it was riding too low to begin with do to all the issues I was having with the air ride. I am very happy with the handling and ride quality. I did the install myself and if you plan to do so make note: besides a good standard socket set including 15mm, 19mm, you will need a 30mm socket and wrench to get the coil bolt off. Also a good floor jack to raise this heavy truck and two heavy duty jack stands. A impact gun would be a big help for you as well to get the bolts off. I did the back two first then did the front two. The back went it super easy, the front I had to get the floor jack under the coil and jack it up just a tad to line up bolt hole but it was not a big deal otherwise. I am glad I took this route no more worrying about a bottomed out truck especially when I am up North somewhere towing my enclosed trailer with a bunch of ATV’s in the back.
Two thumbs up! Their help department followed my order through, until I had received my shipment. I would highly recommend their shocks and air suspensions.

I purchased the 4 wheel air suspension conversion to coil kit. First off, it’s a much bumpier and louder ride. I could feel every single small bump, even the lines that make up the lanes. All these people who wrote it rides the same or it rides just like their air suspension did are crazy. My expedition on springs rides much smoother and handles better than these kits on my Navigator. I’m going to sell this kit and buy air suspension again. It’s a good cheap option, but if you can afford it replace with air suspension. I had mine professionally installed at Lincoln/Ford dealership. All other components in great working condition on my vehicle.
