Additional Information

What kind of suspension does my 2000-2002 Lincoln LS have?

The 2000-2002 Lincoln LS is built with the following suspension components:

2000-2002 Lincoln LS Coil-over Struts (x4) - a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. Coil springs are seated over the strut body and control the vehicles height.

How Do I Know If My Suspension Is Failing?

The most common symptom of a leaking or failed air suspension is a sudden noticeable uneven height difference between different sides of the vehicle. The vehicle could have a sagging front or rear end, it could lean to the left side or right side, or the entire vehicle could be squatting down lower than normal. Other symptoms could include a suspension warning message or light in the instrument cluster, or the air compressor no longer working or running way too often (which would be very noisy and noticeable). The last major tip is your vehicle is no longer able to reach or maintain the proper ride height.

Just installed the kit on my 2004 Navigator on Friday August 18, 2012. The ride is comperable, its not an air suspension however, it rides as smooth and handles great. I have test driven the new 2012 Navs with out the air suspension and hate the ride but am happy to say I still love the ride with this conversion. I love the way the truck sits up higher now and am looking forward to the first year in a long while when I can go to the mountains in the winter and not have the suspension lay down on me. I have the kneal down system on my Nav, I was not able to get the air fault to not come on so I just turned it off in the back and press reset when I get in every time. It is a small price to pay for no longer having to worry about that suspension. I highly recommend it… I did not try taking it to the dealer to have them reprogram the kneal down. I figured I would save the money and just press reset. If any one has gone that route and had success let me know I might swing for it…

My Lincoln rides worse than my truck, I am so mad that I spent $700 for junk, the parts cannot be engineered for a Lincoln, just buy taurus parts and save money

The shop that I took the kit to were blown away with the ease of design and engineering. They had never heard of your company and said they would contact you to be a dealer. Here in Michigan we have some of the worst roads in the country. Thanks for a great product. My Expedition loves you guys.

“I bought the set of struts for the car and all I can say, for the first time since I’ve owned the car I really enjoy it, everything is just perfect. Finally, I have the ride I’ve expected from Lincoln.

I wish Ford itself employed you guys to build the suspension for their cars, maybe they’ll continue the mark viii series. So, I really appreciate it.”

“thank you and Strutmasters for a great price and easy installation instructions. I was done in no time, instead of waiting for a garage to rip me off for the labor and their price for parts were $550.00 + shipping for a total of $1163.00. Now, I’m back on the road again and did it all myself!!

Best regards,

Thanks! After talking to Dustin in customer service I drove over to your shop and you guys are using my car to make a demo video. Good for me! This is the official road car for a group of guys use for various road trips. Can’t beat a Town Car for trunk space, interstate cruising, and leg room. It also beats paying “Fifty Grand” for something you can’t even get four golf bags in! smoke a good cigar in and spill a cold if something like that would happen. I did look into doing this myself but the rear shocks are difficult to go to and remove. The Town Car is BIG and being the 5 star shade tree that I am it is just to dangerous to jack up and work under with jack stands and such. The “Shake ah Twice” will be riding high when I come to pick her up Monday evening!! Can’t wait!!

I traded a vehicle about a month ago for a 98 lincoln navigator, They told me the bags were flat but seeing how I’ve never had anything with bags i had no clue what they were talking about… lol… I soon found out. The ride home with the rearend sitting on the frame was the worst ride in my life. So I started looking around on how to fix it I’m not mechanically inclined, and i found myself on strutmasters website i ordered the kit for front and back with new shocks and then had to figure out how to install, well after many calls and no more money i had to do it myself remember I’m not mechanically inclined but i tell you it Could’nt have been easier i did the back one day and the front the next and man does it ride like a dream now just want to say thanks to Strutmasters without you all id be in and out of shops spending thousands but now I don’t have to worry about it thank you

Good product. Easy install. Took about 5 hours. I would recommend this product to eliminate the air ride.
