Additional Suspension Information
What kind of suspension does my 2000-2002 Lincoln LS have? The 2000-2002 Lincoln LS is built with the following suspension components:
2000-2002 Lincoln LS Coil-over Struts (x4) - a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. Coil springs are seated over the strut body and control the vehicles height.
How Do I Know If My Suspension Is Failing? The most common symptom of a leaking or failed air suspension is a sudden noticeable uneven height difference between different sides of the vehicle. The vehicle could have a sagging front or rear end, it could lean to the left side or right side, or the entire vehicle could be squatting down lower than normal. Other symptoms could include a suspension warning message or light in the instrument cluster, or the air compressor no longer working or running way too often (which would be very noisy and noticeable). The last major tip is your vehicle is no longer able to reach or maintain the proper ride height.

Suspension Kits Reviews
I just want to say that your company certainly gives great customer service. I will always recommend you to anyone who has suspension problems. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We sure have much to be thankful for.
“Airbag to rear coil conversion on ’97 Lincoln MK VIII eliminated the recent sporadic rear end drop due to leaking bags. Glad I did it, ride and handling are great, only thing now is it sits a little higher, but should settle in time. Was torn between keeping the air and risking future issues on a 16 yr. old system (that served well by the way) or making the conversion. Decided to eliminate that possibility…no worries now. If the front ever starts causing concern, will convert it too!
Strutmasters stayed true to every claim, and their representative (Brad) was very helpful and totally customer oriented, even to the point of finding trustworthy, experienced local shops for the installation. First one I called was great and did an excellent job for a reasonable cost, up to and including disabling the “”Check Air Suspension”” warning. Good experience all around!”
Attached are a pair of picture of my 1996 Lincoln Town car, befor and after pictures. It’s the best thing I’ve done in awhile. The improvement on the ride was Great. Thanks Manuel
“Gentlemen, I just ordered a new 4 wheel replacement suspension kit for my Lincoln Mark 8. I talked with Mike your representative at 8:30pm. I’d like to tell you that Mike was very courteous, informative and helpful when we discussed my purchase. He assured me that the system would perform above the original factory system and that if I wasn’t satisfied that I could call him back personally and he would handle any questions or problems.
I deal with multiple vendors as part of my work and I needed to tell you that my experience in dealing with your company and Mike was one of the most pleasant in quite awhile.
I look forward to receiving and installing the new conversion kit and am confident that it will perform as promised.”
I am pleased with my new suspension system. I wish I knew about it earlier, I would have saved lots of money, time and frustration. The only complaint I have is that the suspension light continues to come on. We need a solution!
Yes, we are very pleased with the rear air suspension conversion kit that we purchased and had installed on our 2000 Lincoln Town Car. We are happy to say that our automobile is almost as good as new again. Thanks for having a great product that we hope will not continually wear out like the “”air springs””.
“Let me tell you my family felt like we had bought the car all over again. The excitement of driving and riding in the car with a smooth ride again was awesome, to say the least. I am so glad we did this. Will be back with you again soon.
03 Lincoln Navigator”
“I recently purchased your rear conversion kit for my 1999 Lincoln Navigator and will have to say that the kit is “”Perfect””. Pam who was the representative that helped me was great. She was very informative and reassured that Strutmasters product was a top grade, which I will have to agree. I thank you all and recomend to anyone who has a vehicle like mine to use Strutmasters. One last thing I’m sure people are asking. How is the ride after the installation? My answer is simply – SSSMMMOOOOOTTTTTHHHH!
Thanks Pam and Strutmasters!”
“let me begin by saying I am very satisfied with the product. I find the ride somewhat stiffer than before, especially over a speed bump, but I think that is to be expected when going from the air ride to the spring system.
I am still amazed that the entire multi thousand dollar repair was resolved for less than $400 and less than a days labor. The online sales reps were all friendly and helpful. The online communication is superb. I think I had at least three emails within days of the purchase. I chose to perform the installation over the July 4th weekend. I was very pleased and surprised to find support available when I called on the 4th and 5th. No improvement needed in the support and communication department!
Bought mini struts replacement from you guys before. You all have a wonderful product you… always give us a good deal (lincon towncar), just completely replaced the air system, appreciate your product, thank you.
