Steps 1 and 2: Place the vehicle on a hoist or jack and remove the front wheels.
Step 3: Locate the three bolts under the hood that hold the top mount on the strut and remove using a 13mm socket.
Step 4: Open the box containing the electrical connector behind the strut. Disconnect and unhook the wire harness from any brackets.
Step 5: Remove the sway bar endlink from the strut. You may have to hold the center of the stud with a Torx bit or Allen key to keep it from turning. Remove the nut and use a pry bar to push down on the sway bar to release the endlink.
Step 6: Remove the bottom strut bolt from the lower control arm.
Step 7: Place a jack under the knuckle for support.
Step 8: Remove the upper control arm bolt from the knuckle and place a strap or bungee cord around the knuckle to support it. Release the upper control arm from the knuckle (you may have to spread the knuckle with a chisel or wedge).
Step 9: Lower the knuckle down to allow the bottom of the strut to slide over the control arm. Remove the strut from the vehicle.
Step 10: Insert the new strut into the vehicle.
Step 11: Put the upper control arm back into the knuckle, re-insert the bolt, and tighten.
Step 12: Place the sway bar endlink into the tab on the new strut and tighten.
Step 13: Install supplied washers and nuts on the top mount studs under the hood and tighten.
