Replaced Components
The 1991-1999 Buick LeSabre is built with the following suspension components: 1991-1999 Buick LeSabre Electronic Struts (x2)- a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. The Buick LeSabres struts, while having coil-springs, use an electronic signal to stiffen or soften the dampening of the strut. 1991-1999 Buick LeSabre Height Sensors (x2)- a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The ride height sensor is a moving part, and like all moving parts, they will eventually wear out. . 1991-1999 Buick LeSabre Air Lines- tubes that run from a compressor (air suspension) to the air struts which carry pressurized air to the air bags components in order to adjust the height of the vehicle, respectively. 1991-1999 Buick LeSabre Solenoids (x4)- usually L-shaped, these plastic components connect the electrical connection and lines of suspension components to the suspension control module on vehicles with active suspension. The solenoid regulates the air pressure for each air spring. Solenoids start to leak as they wear out causing the vehicle to sag or to lean. This will cause the ride height sensor to send a signal to activate the compressor in an attempt to inflate the air suspension and level out the vehicle. This excessive work load will eventually lead to total failure of the compressor. 1991-1999 Buick LeSabre Compressor- creates/sends pressurized to active suspension components. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor/pump starts working harder to try to keep the system inflated. By the time air suspension leaks down completely, sitting the vehicle on its tires, the compressor will either have failed or be well on its way to full failure. Buying replacement struts and taking the time to install them only to find out the compressor still needs to be replaced can be very frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive. 1991-1999 Buick LeSabre Dryer Assembly- used to keep moisture out of air lines and air springs in order to prevent freezing and internal cracking of these parts. Once air suspension starts leaking, moisture will build-up throughout the air system. Moisture damages the air suspension from the inside. The dryer will need to be replaced in order to eliminate the moisture and prevent any further damage. 1991-1999 Buick LeSabre Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the air suspension system and maintaining the vehicles correct ride height. 1991-1999 Buick LeSabre O-rings- Although they are the least expensive parts of the air suspension, they are responsible for maintaining the seal where all of the air lines connect. Be sure to replace the O-rings when repairing any air suspension system.

Suspension Failure Signs
If it is not meeting and maintaining its proper ride height, your 91-99 Buick LeSabre has a failed or leaking air suspension system. You’ll want to diagnose a bad suspension system quickly before total failure sets in. The most noticeable sign is a sudden uneven height difference between different sides of the LeSabre. Typically the rear end will fail first causing it to sag while the front end remains inflated. This squatting down appearance can be coupled with a leaning from side to side. If the problem continues without being fixed, other components will wear out. The air compressor, for example, may stop working or may run too often (in this case it will be very loud or noisy). A suspension repair or replacement may be necessary if there is an illuminated suspension warning light or message on the instrument panel. Do not take any of these signs lightly- you do have options but you need to act quickly.

OEM Replacement Cost
'+Air Struts ($469/Air strut) + Air Shocks ($259/air shocks) + Compressor and Dryer Assembly ($320) = TOTAL: Over $2,700 (and that doesnt even include replacing electronic components that are known to fail such as the height sensors).

Aftermarket Replacement Cost
'+ Front Air Strut Assemblies ($469/pair) + Rear Air Strut Assemblies ($469/pair) + Compressor ($320) + Dryer Assembly ($40.00) = TOTAL: Over $1,900 (and that still doesn't include replacing electronic components that are known to fail such as the height sensors).
This air to non-air suspension conversion kit (CA24F) was built specifically for the 91-99 Buick LeSabre. Created with our DIYers in mind, this kit saves you time, frustration, and a ton of money. In fact, the relatively low price is what makes most of our customers switch to the kit. Scroll up to review the price comparisons between the conversion kit, direct replacement at the dealership, and aftermarket part installation. The kit includes only high-quality parts and is the only one on the market with cold-wound steel coil springs. The kit comes with two pre-assembled complete front strut assemblies with springs and mounts, two premium rear shocks and two rear springs. It is installed in as little as one hour per wheel, saving you lots of time. Detailed installation instructions will help you get your ride working in no time.
