Why Choose Strutmasters
Why Choose Strutmasters
The assorted components that make up the air suspension system on the 1998-2005 Park Avenue must always work together. This reliance is expensive and inefficient. Strutmasters' air to non-air suspension conversion kit eliminates this dependency for good. The kit, made in the USA, comes complete with two coilover strut assemblies and two new shocks. The kit is a direct replacement, so no modifications are needed before it's installed. All necessary hardware comes with the kit. Detailed instructions and online installation videos help guide a smooth repair. For further assistance, ASE certified experts offer tech support over the phone. The quality parts are backed by Strutmasters' 1-year warranty, providing customers with peace of mind. Lastly, the cost of the kit is considerably less expensive than dealership direct replacement and individual part replacement.

Replaced Components
The 1998-2005 Park Avenue is built with the following suspension components:
1998-2005 Park Avenue Coil Springs (x2)- Coil springs hold the vehicle up but be careful, they are rated for and designed to work with the rest of the suspension system, so when you change air shocks to passive shocks, then you will need a different rated coil spring that works well with the new type of shocks.
1998-2005 Park Avenue Struts (x2)- a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle.; the air spring assembled on top of the strut is commonly referred to as an air strut.
1998-2005 Park Avenue Shock Absorbers (x2)- a metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle.
Suspension Failure Signs
A failed or leaking air suspension system on the 1998-2005 Park Avenue will display specific symptoms. Early detection of a bad suspension is critical to avoiding total failure. Look for a sudden height variance between different sides of the Park Avenue. This may look like one sagging end, one inflated end, a “squatting down” appearance, or a shifting lean from side to side. Any inability of the Park Avenue to reach and maintain the proper ride height is a major red flag. Other commonly seen symptoms include an illuminated suspension warning light on the dash and an improperly working air compressor. The air compressor will wear out over time if a suspension has gone bad.
