The kit comes with detailed instructions as well as support from ASE certified experts and online installation videos. Customers get the kit installed in as little as one hour per wheel. Replaced Components
The 2000-2006 Lincoln LS is built with the following rear suspension components:
2000-2006 Lincoln LS Coil-over Struts (x2) - a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. Coil springs are seated over the strut body and control the vehicle's height.
Suspension Failure Signs
There are a few signs you want to look out for when attempting to diagnose a failed or leaking air suspension system on your 2000-2006 Lincoln LS. Some symptoms are obvious, while others require a little more observation. You will want to take note of your LS’s ride height- if it can not reach and maintain the appropriate ride height then you may be in need of a repair or replacement right away. The most common sign is a sudden noticeable uneven height difference between different sides of the LS. This can look like a sagging rear end while the front end is still inflated. Perhaps you notice a slight lean from one side to the other. Some people describe the LS as looking like it’s “Squatting down too low to the ground.” If you notice any of these things, the air suspension may be going bad. Check the instrument cluster on the interior for an illuminated suspension warning light or message, too. One side effect of a failed suspension is that other components will wear out. The air compressor is one of these that are at risk. Listen to it carefully to see if it has stopped working or is running too often (it will be very loud and noisy).
