Replaced Components The2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquisis built with the following suspension components: 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis Air Springs (x2)- commonly referred to as air bags, a plastic and rubber bag that uses pressurized air as a cushion (instead of a metal coil spring) to support the weight of the rear of the vehicle. Normal wear and tear causes tiny cracks in the rubber portion of the air springs and this is the number one cause of all air suspension leaks. For a proper repair, all of them need to be replaced at the same time. 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis Rear Gas Shocks (x2)- This vehicle is equipped with 2 rear gas shocks. These shocks are what absorb the impact of the rear tires hitting the road and make the vehicle ride smoothly. 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis Solenoids (x4)- This vehicle is equipped with 4 solenoids. These plastic components connect the electrical connection and lines of suspension components to the suspension control module. The solenoids are responsible for regulating the air pressure in each air spring or air shock. Solenoids are a small piece of the suspension system but they play a big role in how well it functions. If a solenoid is not working properly, it will cause the vehicle to be unlevel and, in turn, cause the compressor to burn out. 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis Compressor- This vehicle is equipped with one air suspension compressor. The compressor is responsible for pumping up the air springs and shocks. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor is forced to run continuously to try and keep the air springs inflated. After a couple of days of running non-stop, the compressor will burn itself out. Replacing the compressor is a timely and expensive project to undertake. 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis Dryer Assembly- This vehicle is equipped with a dryer assembly. The dryer assembly is responsible for getting moisture out of the air lines. Once the air suspension parts start to leak, moisture will build up throughout the air system. Moisture damages the air suspension components from the inside out. The dryer must be replaced whenever the compressor is replaced to prevent further damage. 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis Suspension Control Module- This vehicle is equipped with a suspension control module. This module is the brain of the suspension system and it reads all of the signals that are being sent by the height sensors and determines if the vehicle needs to be raised or lowered. 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis O-rings- Although they are the least expensive parts of the air suspension, they are responsible for maintaining the seal where all of the air lines connect. Be sure to replace the O-rings when repairing any air suspension system.
Suspension Failure Signs Although your 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis has served you well over the years, you want to be able to recognize the signs of a failed or leaking air suspension system so that you can remedy the situation before it is too late. There are a couple common symptoms to look for that can help you diagnose if the air suspension is going bad, or if you are dealing with total failure. The clearest sign of failure is a major difference in the height from the front to the rear of the vehicle. Usually, the rear will sag (it will look like it’s squatting down in the rear end), while the front will remain inflated. Make sure to look for an illuminated suspension warning light on the instrument panel, and take it seriously if you see it there. Listen to the air suspension compressor. If it has stopped working or is running too long (longer than 15-20 seconds maximum), then it is likely you need some sort of air suspension repair or replacement. The longer you leave it, without getting it fixed, the more the other components will wear out too.

I was nervous when my mechanic told me that my air suspension was shot. It would be expensive to repair. But he recommended StrutMaster's coil kit to replace the air suspension and told me to order the parts and he would install them. He also said the ride of my vehicle would be almost the same. He was right. I saved a ton of money, and the car rides great.
Very easy install. The instructions were on the money. It was really helpful how y'all broke each year down to tell you which wire needed to be cut. And the location of the wire.
Very well manufactured parts.
I will purchase from y'all again if the need arises.

I was excited to receive my conversion kit so that my car would not be a low rider anymore. My nephew did most of the work in his backyard. The instructions were precise and the conversion was fairly simple. We are not by any means experienced mechanics just novice actually. The complete job took 5 hours. Not bad for our skill level. The car rides perfect and I am very pleased with your product. I highly recommend Strutmasters.
Once I ordered the kit I began the search for a shop that would install. Best shop said he had had bad luck with Strutmasters products in the past. I told him no problem; I could cancel the order and get a Monroe or KYB kit. Then I noticed that Strutmasters charged a 100. restocking fee?! (ridiculous) So I called the shop back and told him my story, and asked again if he would install the Strutmasters kit. He said: No problem, and the kit worked great. I can't tell the difference between the air suspension and my new coil spring suspension. So, good job Strutmasters!
I just need to turn off the "check rear suspension" light on my dashboard. Not sure yet how to do it. But the car handles and feels great since the switch over from air bags to struts/coils.
Don't drive it much it's extra car just needed to get it fixed in case we needed it but the people we had put them on did a great job and it drive good and rode good on the way home and the car looks fine and jacked up like it's supposed to be i thank we will be total satisfied with these shocks
Y'all got the part out ,across the country on time
Payed a guy at a shop...
Had no problem..
Car rides great 👍
No more low rider 😄
Most shops said 1800$
1200$ car....
The video was helpful
Thanks
