The 2006-2011 Buick Lucerne is built with the following front suspension components: 2006-2011 Buick Lucerne Electronic Struts (x2)- a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. The Cadillac Devilles struts, while having coil-springs, use an electronic signal to stiffen or soften the dampening of the strut. 2006-2011 Buick Lucerne Height Sensors (x2)- a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The ride height sensor is a moving part, and like all moving parts, they will eventually wear out. 2006-2011 Buick Lucerne Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the air suspension system and maintaining the vehicles correct ride height.

Look for these common symptoms of a leaking or failed suspension in your 2006-2011 Buick Lucerne. The most noticeable is a sudden uneven height difference between the sides of your vehicle. The ride in my 2007 Buick Lucerne feels as good or better than when I 1st got it.. The smooth ride has a smile on my face. My wife has a Chevrolet Impala and when it's time for struts I will order Strut masters Their a bit expensive but worth the price.

2006-2011 Buick Lucerne Front Electronic Suspension Conversion Kit (CL1FB)

Had these installed on my 2007 Buick Lucerne CXS. This kit replaced the OEM MagneRide on the front of the vehicle. The OEM air ride shocks remain on the rear. I use OEM parts most of the time, however the cost of the OEM struts is considerable. So, in this case my parts guy at the dealer did some research and found this kit. I did further research including a long conversation with Darrell Chandler at Strutmasters. After speaking with him, I ordered the kit late in the afternoon on Thursday and they were at the dealer by early afternoon on Friday. I was concerned with maintaining the ride quality of the vehicle and so far the ride is as smooth as it has ever been if not better at a fraction of the cost.

2006-2011 Buick Lucerne Front Electronic Suspension Conversion Kit (CL1FB)

I bought these struts for my 2006 Buick Lucerne CXS to replace the OEM GM magnetic ride suspension struts that were failing. The OEM struts cost a small fortune to replace, around $1600 or more depending on you doing it or a mechanic. The Strutmasters option really work well at around $650 for cost, tax and shipping and were easy to install with the resistor bypass cable disabling the suspension error message. The struts did make some noise for a few days of driving but disappeared. The installation sheet does state that there may be some settling noise so don't think that they are bad. My Buick Lucerne drives and handles nicely now with no banging noise from the bad struts and at a significantly lower cost.
