Super easy install. No issues at all. Strutmasters has a great product with easy to follow instructions, I'm not a certified mechanic but had no problem completing the job myself.

What it replaces:
The 2008-2022 Toyota Sequoia's suspension was equipped from the factory with two front electronically adjusted struts, 2 air springs and an electronically adjusted valve shock. These parts have rubber pieces and, with time, crack and begin to leak. This causes the compressor to run more than it should and kills it.

Glad I made the purchase, my electronic struts/shocks on the driver side and rear were leaking and replacing the electronic struts and shocks was going to run $2900 for parts only. Removing the headache of future issues, I purchased the strut masters kit. The instructions were great, completed both front and rear on my 2019 Toyota Sequoia Platinum in 4 hours with another helper. So far so good, I don't notice a difference between my air suspension vs this kit.
Great product and easy to install. Customer service was great and responsive to my requests. Product was back ordered, which might be a sign that people are loving them. On line installation videos were on point. I’ve only been driving on them for a couple weeks, but so far I am very pleased. Very affordable fix for an aging system that was beginning to get expensive to repair. Highly recommend!
Install was easy and self explanatory. No codes on a 2010 Sequoia with airbags and leveling. Has only been a week installed, but ride is great and indistinguishable from stock with the airbags. Very happy thus far and hope they have a normal lifespan.
My ride has always been very firm since I purchased it 13 years ago. Had I known swapping out the air suspension would have made such a difference I would have done it soo much sooner. The kit was easy thanks to the included directions and the sites how to videos. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
did a conversion on my 13 sequoia platinum rides better than when air ride was working! no brainier when your air ride gets to 150,000 convert it with your kit even if its still working
DIY installation instructions were very helpful and easily understood. Install time was 5 hours for 2 workers. The Sequoia handles and rides great. I highly recommend the Strutmaster Toyota Sequoia 4-Wheel Air Suspension Conversion/Delete Kit (TR34F).
The air and electronic suspension on my 2010 Sequoia Platinum was shot after 240k miles. The cost of two new air shocks above was going to be $1600. Instead, I put in Strutmasters full Sequoia kit. The parts did perfectly and are really high quality. The ride is great! And the kit allowed me to get all four corners renewed for the about the price of one rear air shock.
Customer service ahead of the purchase was great. I didn't have to contact them for any help after purchase because the kit was complete and the instructions provided were excellent. They have great install videos as well.
This kit it awesome. The installation went well, & most of all it rides great. I would highly recommend this product for anyone. The customer service at this company is top notch. Than you. Fred Means
For my Sequioa Platinum, it was a transformative experience. Not only did it drive like a new vehicle, it drove like a completely different vehicle! More planted with less body roll, and the tail wasn't wagging the dog! It is a 2017 and has only 90k original miles on the odometer so there's many happy miles ahead. Gone is the heavy negative camber, poor and premature tire wear, and the need for levelers. The vehicle can hold a real world alignment, tracks better, and the vague steering is greatly improved. I should have done this sooner. Kudos guys!
I purchased my 2008 Sequoia Platnium almost two years ago, knowing the suspension was weak. The price and timing were right to try this air suspension conversion kit. It arrives at my home on November 2nd. I took my time swapping the components out since I have another vehicle to drive while I work on this project.
I started with the front left. It was a bit tricky to remove old parts. I'm 52 years old, and this type of work was new to me, but instructions helped a great deal. I started about a week after the arrival of the new kit. Reading the instructions, I noticed some tools I needed and did not own. Ordered multiple things from Amazon to get my tools together.
So I thought the front would be the most difficult to accomplish, so I started there. Once old components were out, new ones went in mostly easy besides the strut assembly clearance. I had difficulty getting it to go into place, but it finally did. Waited a few days and tried the right front. It's difficult, but I got it done. Tad built easier since I had done the left and worked out a knack to get it into place.
Cold weather with rain followed arrived at my location for about a week. So just let Sequoia sit in the driveway several days untouched.
Once the weather cooperated, I started on the left rear. Removing airbags was tricky since it had been on that vehicle way too long. After all bolts were removed, I used a pry bar to turn the airbag to get it to come out. The installation of the rear components was easy besides the coil spring. Using a spring compressor just seemed unsafe, but it got it done. Once again, I've never done this type of vehicle repair before. Once spring was onto the pucks, I slowly released compressor tension a few turns with a wrench on each side until the compressor tool got wedged at the bottom plate and the top plate. Still tension on the compressor tool, I felt concerned as to how to get the tool out? I ended up cutting the rods of the compressor tool with a Sawzall to get the tool out. It's not the outcome I had hoped for at all. Maybe I bought a compressor too big in size?
Ordered another compressor tool, similar size since I didn't see any smaller in length. Tool arrived and started on right rear. Same scenario with installation of coil spring, same method used to remove compressor tool. No injuries.
Other than the coil compressors I destroyed installing this kit, ($30x2) everything went well enough. Instructions were helpful, but maybe a hint as to the size of the coil compressor needed as an added tip? Just a suggestion.
Ride quality is way better than before. Very smooth. It's almost like driving a new vehicle.
I also replaced all brake calipers, rotors, and pads while working at each section of the Sequoia.
I'm very happy with the outcome. Thanks, Strut Masters for having this kit.
It works well. We have been having trouble with the air ride on our 2008 sequoia for a couple years and totally went out. So it was riding like a log wagon. Now it feels and handles great again without all the expensive factory parts that were likely to string me along 1 $500 failure after another. Great price too for a full new suspension kit.
The instructions and the video were very helpful. I didn’t choose “love it” because it’s a product after all but I really like it. I would recommend it to others.
