The 2011 to 2013 Equus is the flagship model of South Korean automaker Hyundai and comes equipped from the factory with an active air suspension system. The factory air system has several expensive and complicated components that rely heavily on electronics to work. An onboard air compressor, which retails for upwards of $2800 alone, is used to fill air struts in the front of the vehicle and a pair of air springs and air shocks in the rear. The cost of original equipment replacement parts on this vehicle can easily exceed $7000 for a complete overhaul. The new driving performance is a tad bit less plush, but I feel it handles better when cornering. Strutmasters kit is a good product at a fair price.

The StrutMaster conversion kit is a much better option than spending thousands of dollars just trying to find the problem with the air suspension, and then thousands more to replace parts (if you can find them). My Hyundia dealer wanted more money than the car was worth to diagnose and repair the problem.
Something to remember, the “sport” driving mode no longer works on the Equus. That only made your air suspension stiffer which you no longer have.
Also, your instructions to install the “Electronic Bypass Module”, the instructions (#9) refers to Figure 10.
There was no figure 10 included with my paperwork.

Only had the chance to drive it a few miles after conversion, but it had a nice ride, handled bumps, etc. very well. The conversion to your strut and shock system was great. The instructions were right on and the work to change the air system out with your product was very easy. I was suprised that the replacement went so well and the car of course was not very dirty to work with and that made it very easy in that regard. Only one item that I noticed in the instruction was that there was no mention of what to do with the compressor now that the shocks are all disconnected. I was worried that it to run all the time, so I assumed that I would need to disconnect the power wiring and control wires, I apologize if I missed this item in the inistructions. I was woried if the car would sit at the same ride height and it was right on and the ride is very close to the air ride. Maybe not quite as soft but I'm impressed and no rattles after the replacement. Very happy. Thank you Strutmasters!!

The only issue we had a problem with, is the front struts, the lower frame part of the strut was bent, even though the bolt was a screwed into the strut hand tight, but do to shipping, it might have gotten bent. Otherwise it fit very well.

We lived in California and came to Southern Utah for Thanksgiving 2020- on the way through the Nevada desert we had issues with the air suspension in our car, and had to get our car into a shop all weekend. They fixed the problem and there was no more issues. Not until we moved to Southern Utah and I heard a pop and a hiss. The same shop had a hard time figuring out what was wrong and suggested we buy this kit and replace the air suspension. I called Strutmasters and they informed me air suspension should not be in temperatures over 90°. They were very informative and helpful and I received my kit a week later. I bought the kit with the module so it would turn off the warning lights for issues with the air suspension. Happy with my purchase and it seemed to fix the issue. So far so good!

This kit bolted on very nicely. The module that keeps the dash light off worked well and was not difficult to install. I really think the car rides better with this suspension than the air suspension, it’s a bit stiffer but not uncomfortably so. It does sit about 3/4 inch higher than before, not excessive. Would highly recommend.

I had the dreaded airbag fail on my 2011 Hyundai Equus. Beautiful car until this happened. The wife and I started looking for cars to trade out of it . Cried all week. Until, Until I went on the Equus thread and found STRUTMASTERS...I figured if it doesn't work, then I'll throw the conversion kit in for free for the trade. Well, it cost $1000 to have the conversion done and wish struts and shocks came standard on this vehicle. Great ride!!! I put new tires and rims on the car and don't forget to tell people to get an alignment. Now the alignment may pose difficult at different shops so be careful... Great product, you guys obviously deconstructed the car and created this program. I'll wait for 6 months and give an update. So far so good...

The same shop had a hard time figuring out what was wrong and suggested we buy this kit and replace the air suspension. I called Strutmasters and they informed me air suspension should not be in temperatures over 90°. They were very informative and helpful and I received my kit a week later. I bought the kit with the module so it would turn off the warning lights for issues with the air suspension. Happy with my purchase and it seemed to fix the issue. So far so good!

This kit bolted on very nicely. The module that keeps the dash light off worked well and was not difficult to install. I really think the car rides better with this suspension than the air suspension, it’s a bit stiffer but not uncomfortably so. It does sit about 3/4 inch higher than before, not excessive. Would highly recommend.

I had the dreaded airbag fail on my 2011 Hyundai Equus. Beautiful car until this happened. The wife and I started looking for cars to trade out of it . Cried all week. Until, Until I went on the Equus thread and found STRUTMASTERS...I figured if it doesn't work, then I'll throw the conversion kit in for free for the trade. Well, it cost $1000 to have the conversion done and wish struts and shocks came standard on this vehicle. Great ride!!! I put new tires and rims on the car and don't forget to tell people to get an alignment. Now the alignment may pose difficult at different shops so be careful... Great product, you guys obviously deconstructed the car and created this program. I'll wait for 6 months and give an update. So far so good...

Seemed expensive paid mechanic 780$ about 2000$ for shocks seems expensive 2013.should last had 2800 miles hope no more expense does ride good but not air suspention, must be good shocks struts spent 1480$ guess topical expenses now days.
